COURTNEY TO RECEIVE NYU FIRST RUN CRAFT AWARD FOR WORK IN "LAST WASH"

Alex Courtney to be honored at NYU's First Run Film Festival for his performance in SoonHo Song's "Last Wash". Reception and ceremony to take place at NYU on April 15th. "The last thing I expected from that performance ... I think that's what makes it so sweet..."

Our inability to be compassionate. To be so threatened and fearful for our own survival that we are unable to embrace the hardships and the humanity of another.  Our need to separate ourselves out; make ourselves distant and removed from another. All driven by fear.  This and more are explored by the award winning filmmaker, Kiel Adrian Scott.  Excited to work with Scott and be part of this very ambitious project.

Join Parker Posey and Yul Vasquez in a reading of David Bar-Katz new play "Time Is Fire" (about the poet Delmore Schwartz) at the Lab Theatre Salon where new works are in the beginning stage of development. Love-loved working with Parker, Yul and DBK.  It just doesn't get better off and on stage.

CAST IN "PROTECT US"

Cast in a short film - play a retired FBI agent that the Bureaus  employs on a freelance basis to lead special criminal high profile investigations. Interesting character that approaches work and life in an off-beat and unorthodox manner.  To be released in the Spring/Summer of 2015. 

INVITATION FROM BALITMORE CENTERSTAGE

Invited to participate in a concert reading series entitled "Wrestling with Angels".  The plays are written by internationally recognized playwrights. They will include "7 Jewish Children by Caryl Chruchill, "Only We Who Guard the Mystery Shall Be Unhappy" by Tony Kushner and "Benedictus" by Motti Lerner.  The series will run from April 15th thru April 18th at Baltimore's Center Stage. Real excited about the chance to explore new work.

Written by Motti Learner/Directed by Daniela Topol The play takes place 42-hours before a U.S. scheduled attack on Iran.  Two estrange childhood Iranian friends,who are now powerful in leaders in their respective countries - one Muslin, the other Jewish - agree to a secret meeting in a Benedictine monastery in an attempt to find an alternative to war and the annihilation of a country. The cast features Alex Courtney, Ron Guttman, Larry Pine, and Evan Thompson.

COURTNEY JOINS "THE HISTORY OF INVULNERABILITY" CAST

Courtney will join the Workshop Cast of "The History of Invulnerability" by David Bar-Katz (Freak, Philip Roth in Khartoum). The workshop is sponsored by The Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, which will premiere the play as part of its 2010 season.
